The Altvogtshof is located in a quiet valley of the upper Black Forest "Hochschwarzwald" between Titisee and Bregtal. Here the landscape still looks like in the past centuries. The orignal Black Forest farms with cows in the pastures dominate the landscape. Away from the bustle and traffic, you can relax and enjoy the area. The Altvogtshof is an ideal starting point for hiking, biking, outings on rackets or cross-country directly from the house. Many attractions by car in 15 -30 minutes are reachable such as: Titisee, (with Badeparadies Galaxy), Schluchsee, Feldberg, Wutachschlucht, Furtwangen (Clock Museum). Excursions by car in 45-70 minutes away: Triberg Waterfalls (the longest waterfalls in Germany), Vogtsbauernhöfe Gutach, the Schwarzwalddom in Sankt Blasien, Todtnau with the longest mountain coaster in Germany, the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen (the largest plain waterfall in Europe), Freiburg, Switzerland, Alsace, Lake of Constance and Europa-Park.
