The guests of Building Ronchelli shall live the fascinating thrill of staying in a corner of the past. The building has retained the atmosphere of warm elegance and harmony of composition typical of the residences of Lombard '700, along with some evocative details of the previous century. Dates back to 1597 the conversion of a fortified structure existing in 1400, in "house hunting" for the local nobles. The entire structure, with its classic architectural lines, makes a fine show of porticoes, colonnades, vaulted arches, marble fireplaces and large living rooms with tiled floors, Venetian mosaics, frescoes and coffered ceilings. A monumental Wisteria welcomes you at the entrance of the courtyard. This plant, with its 150 years, is considered among the oldest specimens in Europe: during the spring its branches are covered with clusters of infinite shades purple, they intertwine over the facade and hide an ancient sundial. The Building Ronchelli is located in the centre of Valcuvia, in a sunny and cool village on the slopes of mount Campo dei Fiori. The village, not cut from the main road, but clinging 600 m. high overlooking the valley, is ideal for peaceful and relaxing stays, but is also near to cultural and touristic places of interest. For example the Lake Maggiore coast from Laveno to Luino, the Villa Della Porta Bozzolo in Casalzuigno e Villa Panza in Varese.
